Chalet Shalimar is not just another chalet in Zermatt: it is one of the top properties in the resort and the location as a ski-in ski-out chalet (snow-conditions permitting) offers what until now has been missing in Zermatt.
All the apartments have large balconies or patios with unsurpassable views of that most commanding of mountains, the Matterhorn.
It lies in the lovely area of Winkelmatten on the outskirts of the village where the old chapel dates back to the 17th century and the old sheep barns are burnt black by the strong Valais sun.
It is a 15-minute stroll to the village centre or 5 minutes in the electric ski-bus or an electric taxi. The SPA AREA on the lower ground floor is the perfect place to relax after a hard day on the slopes. It features a swimming pool which opens up to a relaxing area with loungers revealing again the Matterhorn in all its glory, as well as a sauna, a steam bath and a massage room.
On the Ground floor is the ski room with heated boot racks and the apartment FURRY with 2 bedrooms (4 beds) with ensuite bathrooms and living/dining with log-burning fireplace and Matterhorn patio. An appartment for 4 persons.
